Leatha Phillips

Sixth Grade Administrator
Leatha Phillips earned her bachelor’s degree from Delta State University in elementary education, and a master’s degree in elementary education from Mississippi College.  She has earned a master’s and specialist’s degree from Delta State University in educational leadership.  Mrs. Phillips has been in education for twenty-two years, with 10 years teaching elementary and middle school students, and 12 years as a principal and assistant principal at the elementary and middle school level.

Mrs. Phillips is married to Scott Phillips, and they have two children.  Miller is an eighth grader at Madison Middle School, and Lauren will begin her sophomore year at Ole Miss this fall.  Mrs. Phillips is very happy to be at Madison Middle School.  She enjoys the sixth grade students and watching them grow and mature in middle school.  These are exciting years for students, and she enjoys the challenge of teaching them to make the right choices, seeing them learn something new, and watching them become all they were meant to be in a safe and fun learning environment.

When Mrs. Phillips is not at school, she enjoys spending time with her family, running, kayaking, or any adventure outside.
