Jennifer Lovitt 

Seventh Grade Principal
lovitt  Jennifer Lovitt is from Monroe, Louisiana.  She earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Louisiana-Monroe in Elementary Education in 1991 and graduated magna cum laude with a Master’s Degree in Educational Technology from Northwestern State University in 2005.  In 2011, she obtained administration certification through the Mississippi Department of Education’s alternate program.

Mrs. Lovitt has been an educator for 21 years, with eight of those years teaching elementary and middle school and 12 years as a media specialist. She is National Board Certified, and has taught in Louisiana, Texas, Kentucky and Mississippi.  She is a certified online instructor for the Mississippi Virtual High School as well as the Florida Virtual School.  In January of 2004, Mrs. Lovitt was published in a national educational journal, “Technology Horizons in Education”, with an article on technology funding in the K-12 setting.  

Mrs. Lovitt has been married to Patrick Lovitt for 23 years and they have two girls:  Tavyn is an English major and student-athlete at Ole Miss and Kayla will be a freshman at Ole Miss in the fall of 2016.  She likes spending time outside with her dog, Rue.
